intel doesn''t give spell2009-04-28Ya You guys are right...intel doesn't give spell power....spirit does. I am a lvl 450 so I get the 3 " only" gems from the dragon's eyes...and for a while now, I've used those to employ 3 +27 spirit gems. They give me the most bang for my bk. This mayhange a small bit after the pah but I doubt it. As for the rest of my gems...a mix of runed arlets rubies (+19sp)and some 16 intel 16 spirit and arit gem or 2 helps out alot. Lvl 80 Paladin2009-04-11Hi, I just turned lvl 80 and i wanna do alot of PVP now so i was wondering what is the best spec to go under for this and what kinds of stuff should i be trying to get. Need Tactics for Mage Vs Druid Encounter!2009-04-07Ok so i have a level 49 twink mage, frost spec. Recently feral druids have infested the 40-49 bttleground stage & am really stuggleing with tactics when it comes to killing one...
If i frost nova they instantly shapeshift & break out of it... Any chill effect they instantly shapeshift & break out of it... They break through my ice barrier quicker than a rogue can when in cat form... If i blink then they just leap forward the same distance i just blinked also dazeing me for a few seconds... They have some kinda of healing abilitie whilst in cat form also.
Basicly they hit just as hard if not harder...
S.H.E.E.P2009-04-07so i got this lvl 52 mage and i was once a twink with him at lvl 39. thing is i just realized now is that polymorth is just as good as fear with locks its just mages don't use them much from wat i seen. the best thing to do in a bg is "polymorth" then "pyroblast" then if the target dosn't do anythin "cast a fire ball" after blink in and do wat ever instant cast spell u have!

That hasn't worked since trinkets and other anti-loss-of-character-movement abilities. A mage's polymorph would be as good as fear if it didn't heal the target...

Fighting Warlocks PVP Discussion2009-04-07This thread will be for questions about fighting locks.
Looking for a good discussion, or a very experienced player to give a guide on how to fight them.

When do YOU guys use CS.I think that you should freeze the demon, usually a melee fighter, in place with Frost Nova. Then you should use Counter-spell on the warlock when he is about to cast something. Then go in with a bunch of attacks, hoping you win.and those damn DOTs............ugh locks. Help a poor little mage2009-04-07Hi, I'll get to the point. I have a mage, Draenei LvL 27 spec'd frost. I'm wanting to lvl her really because the spell casting thing is fun for me from time to time. But I have run into a few problems.
1.) Major Mana Dump. I've played a Shaman before and even went elemental in early lvls using nothing but spells. I still had plenty of mana to spare, but this mage just looses it all within like one fight. 1 on 1.
2.) Spell Rotation. Not sure what to use for the spell rotations.
3.) Spec. I don't know if I've done her spec right so if you can take a look, I'll provide a link
4.) Gear. There has got to be something I can do about gear. She is a Tailor so any suggestions.

Can a mage tank or off-tank caster bosses/mobs?2009-04-07Well, I've found so many defensive talents that had been probably designed for PvP but still very good that I got a question now: Is there a build for tanking mage (like tanking lock)? Well, locks can much easier produce aggro and have less problems with mana but still.
So, how I see this build and tanking process:
The mage tank constantly spams his Improved Arcane Missiles (if his target isn't immune or high resistible to arcane of course) and if we decided to give him Improved Blink he also blinks on CD to raise his survivability.
Our mage also has most of anti-magic and anti-physical talents like Magic Absorption, Frost Warding, Magic Attunement, Improved Mana Shield, Arcane Fortitude, etc and is wearing an appropriate shield buff and resistance gear.
His only attacking spell is Arcane Missiles which he must spent most points and gear into to keep aggro.
Though there's still a problem with holding it and I'm not sure how to solve (surely I've chosen most of the spell damage raising talents but its not enough versus our DD version).
And, of course, mana. Again, most of mana-conversing talents available but not enough... though if our mage is just off-tanking some annoying caster add at Big Bad Bos...
