Might I suggest a guild change? I'm not sure I'd want to be in a situation where no one else is willing to step up to the challenge, but just want to sit back and gripe about your gear.
As far as tanking gear, the best place to go is Emmerald.net. It has lists of gear for each slot and where (quest, drop, vendor, crafted) you can get it.
Also, check out this thread on the Emmerald forums. The poster lists about 5 options for each slot for a starter tank set and even gives a recommendation on which is the "best
At a quick glance, the first thing I'd recommend is get the Heavy Clefthoof set (chest, legs, feet) for the +Def which you need badly. An...

You wouldn't need it in PvP, but unless you are running out of focus it won't matter. growl=threat; threat<> PvP. -Moved to Kil'Jaeden

I think they meant all the time during PvE, which is why they specified PvP use for prowl.
Either that or they have one more skill on in PvP than they need.

How To Get Your Money Back
Many players have gone through this ultimate gaming frustration over and over again when their experiences in MMORPG's have fallen hopelessly short of the quality of service they should have received. Frustrated and irritated by this recurring MMORPG service theme, gamers are pushing back because they will not be 'griefed' by gaming companies anymore.
The following information can be an ace up yer sleeve in the future:
You need to have paid with a credit card for the money you want to get back.

You have the option to cancel your subscription, and typically a text field to enter why. Tell them in detail, tastefully and calmly. Leave the explicit adjectives out of it.
Call your credit card company and file a dispute...

Weekly PC Sales: Total War Follows The Path
2009-10-14 00:00:00
It's that time of the week again, as the marketing research gurus at NPD have released their list of the best-selling PC games at US retailers during the week of March 15.
For the most part, NPD's list is unchanged from that of the previous week, the only tweak being the addition of Civilization IV, which bumped Ravenhearst down a spot.
However, Direct2Drive's list of best-selling games was a bit more active--Defense Grid: The Awakening topped the digital download provider's chart thanks to a half-price sale, with newcomers HA...

The Story of the Draenei
2009-09-21 00:00:00
Sit and I will share with you the tale of the Exiled Ones, the lost Eredar who escaped the clutches of the Evil One. This is the story of those who travel, running before the legions of Sargeras, running from those who would betray their own people into a lifetime of servitude in exchange for power. This tale is not one of nearly escaped danger, for I fear the danger will soon visit upon us here, in Azeroth. The Darkening
The Eredar were an ancient race, intelligent and magical. Based on these talents, the Eredar built a society, powerful and vast. These people, living before the dawn of our ancestor's time, were contemporaries of those that built the universe, the Titans. One of these Titans was charged with keeping order in the universe. This one was Sargeras.
Whether some foul nameless thing tainted his mind, or dealings with early races who wished to rule over all others did so, no one knows. But the spirit of the Keeper of Order darkened. His desire became no longer to keep order in the universe by settling disputes. His desire became the eradication of all life. Sargeras grew a demonic army, The Burning Crusade, to complete his mission, and this army needed leaders.
Sargeras, the Evil One, leader of The Burning Crusade, became intrigued with the Eredar. Their intelligence and magic were unparalleled. The powerful Eredar were to be the generals of Sargeras' army of demons, leading the vile multitude in the destruction of life in all Cosmos. The Destroyer of Worlds played upon the desires of the Eredar, approaching the three leaders of the race.
"I offer you great knowledge, power unbounded!" Two of the three were tempted and became officers under the Evil One, pulling their followers into the Crusade. And the power and knowledge of the Two was indeed great.
The third, Honorable Velen, saw the darkness in Sargeras' plan and declined. One of the Two, Kil'Jaeden, was enraged at the foolishness of the younger Velen, and pressed him to accept. Velen, fearful of his elder and his elder's new powers, made plans to flee, along with those ...
World of Warcraft Hits 7 Million Mark!!

World of Warcraft Hits 7 Million Mark
SEVEN MILLION PEOPLE play world of WarCraft.
Seven MILLION. Think about that number.
Seven Million is the population of the state of Virginia.
Seven Million is twice the population of URUGUAY.
Seven MILLION is the number of people who have no idea where Uruguay *IS*.
That's a lot of frelling people playing the game, and while I'm impressed, I can't help but think that the number may be skewed just a bit by Blizzard, the makers of the game - and also a tasty treat at Dairy Queen.

In fact I know that these numbers are off, and have been padded, added and recalculated for shock value and that the *true* number is MUCH much lower.
How do I know this?
Easy. I play EverQuest II.
*sighs* Okay. I admit, I may be slightly biased because people seem hell bent on pointing out that EverQuest II has a population of about fourteen people, three of which haven't logged on in over a month because they've been too busy playing World of Warcraft. EQ2 is going to be shut down in a month, the new expansion is just a virus and spy ware bundle waiting to take over our PC's and we'll have to pay the monthly fee of "one cup of baby blood - freshly squeezed" in order to play.
Not that I'm bitter.
If EverQues...
